A Malayan tiger name Nadia has tested positive for coronavirus Bronx Zoo in Newyork City, and 6 other big cats are exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms. this is often the primary cause of a wild animal contracting the disease from an individual, who was presumably an asymptomatic zookeeper.
The Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), which manages the zoo, identified the tiger as Nadia, a 4-year-old Malayan tiger. The zoo said that Nadia, her sister Azul, two Amur tigers, and three African lions, had developed a dry cough. Since the animals must be anesthetized general anesthesia to receive the test, the attending veterinarian decided to not test the opposite animals, consistent with the USDA.
